Joined NTT in 1983; worked in maintenance, R&D, material procurement (quality control) and telecom networks (line services). Involved in telecommunication policy administration (international contribution, counsel to the Telecommunications Technology Council) at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Communications Policy Bureau in 1992. Joined the NTT R&D Division Standards Department in 1994; involved in assistance for standardization. Appointed head of the Technical Department at Catapult Entertainment in 1995; worked in console-based network games. Joined the NTT Multimedia Business Development Department (now NTT East Business User Promotion Division Broadband Business Development Department) in 1997; involved in new business creation (photography, anime, broadcasting).

Joined NTT FINANCE in 2002; working in venture capital business. Also serves as independent director of Logical Co., Ltd., an NTT FINANCE investee.

1983 Graduated with master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Waseda University.
