NTT FINANCE collects personal information only by legal and fair methods in order to improve customer service and convenience and for company business administration purposes.

2.Maintaining personal information accuracy

NTT FINANCE will use its best efforts to ensure that your personal information is accurate, complete and up-to-date.

3.Amendment of personal information

NTT FINANCE will amend or remove incorrect personal information upon request of disclosing information from the pertinent individual.

4.Use of personal information

NTT FINANCE will not use your personal information for any purpose other than those stated without your permission except where required under law and in cases notified on the NTT FINANCE website or in the Terms of Use.

5.Supply of personal information to third parties

NTT FINANCE will obtain your permission before supplying your personal information to any third party.

6.Privacy protection

Purposes of the Use of Personal Information, Joint Use of Personal Information, and Contact Information for Amendment or Cessation of Use Request

1.Purposes of the use of personal information

In addition to disclosing personal information from customers as required by law, NTT FINANCE will use it for the following purposes.

(a) Internal operations

  1. Operations related to telecommunications equipment, office equipment, industrial machinery, machine tools, construction machinery, transport equipment, medical equipment, business and service industry equipment, physical and chemical movable property, the leasing, renting, or buying/selling of software or other intellectual property (including installment sales), and payment on another's behalf
  2. Money lending, debt guarantee, debt obligation underwriting, debt trading, and financial operations such as factoring, collection, and payment services
  3. Credit card services
  4. Investment, financing, debt guarantee, and management guidance for unlisted companies and other organizations
  5. Market research and management-related consulting
  6. Non-life insurance agency and operations related to life insurance solicitation
  7. Other operations attendant to the above

(b) Uses

NTT FINANCE will use customers' personal information within the bounds of internal operations and as required to fulfill that purpose.

  1. To sell and receive applications for leasing/installment plans, financing, credit card services, and other businesses listed in NTT FINANCE's articles of incorporation
  2. For credit assessment and credit management, contract management, and to facilitate proper and smooth customer transactions
  3. For market research and product development
  4. To send out notices and advertisements on behalf of companies with which NTT FINANCE is contracted (hereafter, partner companies), related to products and services, etc., provided by those partner companies.
  5. For proof of identity based on laws or regulations related to preventing the illegal transfer of earnings

2.Joint use of personal information

In the event that NTT FINANCE uses your personal information jointly with other parties, the company shall notify you of the identity of such other parties, except where information is used jointly by NTT FINANCE and its subsidiaries, consolidated subsidiaries and affiliates and equity methods affiliates listed in the NTT FINANCE securities report.

3.Provision of personal information to third parties

NTT FINANCE shall generally obtain your permission in writing before providing your personal information to any third party. Note that NTT FINANCE provides information to consumer credit information institutions for credit checks. Specific institution names and the information provided to them are outlined in the Privacy Policy Clause you agree to when making an application.

4.The use of credit information institutions

With the customer's agreement, NTT FINANCE supplies information to credit information institutions to which the company belongs for the purpose of credit checks. The name, address, and telephone number of the credit information institutions to which NTT FINANCE belongs are listed below. In addition, during the contract period if NTT FINANCE becomes a member of, registers with, or begins to use a new credit information institution, NTT FINANCE will notify the customer in writing of such and obtain permission.

5.Please refer to the website of the individual credit information institution to find out details regarding its membership qualifications or the list of its member companies.

6.The information registered with the credit information institution is: name, birth date, address, telephone number, employer, and other identifying information; the type of contract, contract date, product name, amount of contract, number of payments, and other information related to the contract; and usage balance, date of payment, payoff date, arrears, and other information related to payments.

7.Disclosure, amendment and cessation of use procedures

To request disclosure of personal information of yours that NTT FINANCE holds, or to request amendment or cessation of use of that information, please ask NTT FINANCE for the relevant request form. Information subject to disclosure, amendment or cessation of use is:

name, birth date, address, telephone number, employer (company title, occupation and telephone number) and information regarding past credit transactions

When making such request, you are required to present one of the following official documents for identification.

  1. Copy of driver's license
  2. Copy of passport
  3. Copy of health insurance card and either resident's card or utility rates receipt or bill
  4. Copy of alien registration card and either copy of passport or utility rates receipt or bill
